We have a new Playset in the back yard and I think it is going to be a hit! Grandpa Jim made all of the arrangements. I am so excited. The kids had a great time. When they saw it through the living room window they had their boots and coats back on in seconds and were out the back door. I have never seen them put coats and boots on that fast.

The Mighty Frog Hunters!

On the evening of April 12th, 2009 the sound of frogs in the back pastures became so loud that Jim, Landon and Amy decided to go frog hunting. Cathy, Frank and I watched from the deck as they tried to quietly sneak up on the frogs. Everytime they got close the sounds would quit and the frogs would disappear. The mighty frog hunters did not catch a single frog. I am not sure they even saw one.

Time Flies

I am not as diligent in posting on this blog as I should be. I seem to find to many other things to keep me busy.

The Utah Legislative Session started on the 26th of January. I have mixed emotions on the later start date. I have enjoyed having an extra week after the holidays to prepare and catch my breath but, I will miss being able to have the session over by the last Wednesday in February or the 1st Wednesday in March. I don't think as many students will have the opportunity to see the Legislative Session in progress because now they will have to miss school in order to do that. I will enjoy having my birthday off this year. Yes, Presidents day will be honored this year, no meetings. This just happens to be my birthday and so I will take full advantage of not having to be at the Capitol.

I love the fact that by the time the session is over Spring is almost here, this year that will be even more evident and the session doesn't end until March 12th at midnight. March 12th is my father's birthday, I wonder what he would have thought about being in session that late and having to work until midnight on his birthday.

Don't hold your breath but if I have another chance to catch mine I might even post some pictures with comments from the last few months.

I really couldn't believe that summer was ending and that this was going to be the last time for the Red Boat on beautiful Bear Lake. We had two last brave water skiiers one who didn't even get her hair wet. We really enjoyed the clear blue water and the clear blue skies. Wow! Where did summer go?

How Many Men Does It Take?

You have all heard those jokes right, well this is a picture about one of those times. It was really funny to see. I only hoped that they didn't fall and hurt themselves in the process. Jim finally got the heater attached to the roof of the garage. Now all we have to do is hook it up to the gas and electric so it will work this winter. At least for now it is not sitting under the boat taking up space on the floor of the garage. I looks great!
